Rodney Jackson Presentation

The Mountain Lion Foundation is hosting a presentation by Rodney Jackson from the Snow Leopard Conservancy. This presentation is part of our new Julian Project in Southern California. 14 mountain lions have been killed there over the past couple of years, for preying on domestic animals. In contrast, only 5 lions were killed for that reason over the entire prior decade. What can we do? We hope to use Rodney Jackson's experience with Snow Leopards in Asia, and his framework for community engagement for conservation to reduce the number of mountain lions killed for depredation in the Julian area.
