2018 Earth Day Events!

We had a wonderful time attending events throughout California celebrating our magnificent Earth! Thank you to everyone who stopped by one of our booths. We hope you enjoy your 2018 Mountain Lion Foundation Earth Day poster!

Sacramento Zoo Earth Fest 2018

Saturday, April 21, 2018, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Sacramento Zoo, 3930 West Land Park Drive, Sacramento CA 95822


MLF Director of Science Programs, Diana Lakeland, enjoyed playing "The Mountain Lion Game" with children at the Sacramento Zoo Earth Fest.

EVENT INFO:
Throw a party for the planet and hold a stuffed animal clinic!

Learn about the environment and conservation both locally and globally and how you can have an impact on the world around you right from home!

Children can bring their favorite stuffed animal to be examined by the stuffed animal veterinarian and sew up any tears.

Event is included with general admission into the zoo. Bring your used laser and inkjet printer cartridges, cell phones and prescription glasses to drop off at the recycling station! A portion of all admission tickets and all proceeds from the carousel on Earth Fest will go towards the zoo's conservation projects which you can learn more about at the event.

23rd Annual Godwit Days Spring Migration Bird Festival

MLF Outreach Coordinator, Korinna Domingo, enjoyed meeting with folks at the 23rd Annual Godwit Days Spring Migration Bird Festival in Arcata and discussing the importance of citizen science for mountain lion conservation!

EVENT INFO:
Observe many bird species and wildlife through field trips, lectures, workshops, and boat excursions let by local guides and stop by our table to say hi and to learn about our Wild Cameras program!

Placerville Earth Day 2018

Palomar Mountain Earth Day 2018

Jane and Mauricio Santorumn of MLF's Julian Mountain Lion Project stand next to our Mountain Lion Foundation demonstration pen at the Palomar Mountain State Park Earth Day Celebration as we celebrate mountain lions!

Learn how you can help preserve America's majestic mountain lion with mountain lion proof enclosures and educational booths, and help clean up the park!

Event Admission is $10.00. Please bring recycled shopping bags and work gloves to help clean make the park cleaner and safer for California's wildlife!

WCN Spring Wildlife Conservation Expo 2018

Earth Day in the Driveway 2018

MLF Board member, Bob McCoy, held an Earth Day celebration in his driveway and enjoyed the sun and sharing information about mountain lions with his neighbors.
