Cal Poly Wildlife Career Symposium

The Cal Poly Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society will be hosting a Wildlife Career Symposium and you're invited!

Friday, January 11, 2019
8AM to 3PM

California Polytechnic State University
1 Grand Avenue, San Luis Obispo, 93410
University Union (or UU) Room 220

The event is designed to provide students interested in all aspects of wildlife research, conservation, and management with a forum where they can gain experience and knowledge to help further a career in these fields.

During the event, professionals from a wide range of backgrounds will present their career paths and current research to local undergraduates. Students will acquire two important assets at this symposium: a familiarity with career opportunities in wildlife and ecology, and an expansion of professional networks.

Korinna Domingo, Conservation Specialist with the Mountain Lion Foundation, will be attending the event and is planning to talk to students about her journey as a wildlife biologist, and present potential career paths in the field of apex predator management and conservation. After the presentations she will be speaking with students individually for career mentoring.
