Join the Mountain Lion Foundation today to:

  • Support work with youth groups who raise livestock, such as the 4-H Club and Future Farmers of America, to teach them how to keep their animals safe and not blame the lion for doing what comes naturally.
  • Teach urban residents how to avoid attracting wildlife into their backyards.
  • Train rangers, docents, and other staff from state parks, zoos and nature centers on how to interpret and explain mountain lions to the general public.
  • Aid efforts to oppose bad mountain lion management plans and to fight state bureaucracies when they allow emotions or money, rather than good science, to guide their mountain lion policies.
  • Provide the means to turn to the courts when mountain lions and their habitat are threatened. For example, the Mountain Lion Foundation filed the first lawsuit to protect the last mountain lion corridor between two mountain ranges in Southern California. Scientists determined that this corridor is the difference between survival and extinction for lions in that region.
  • Empower the Mountain Lion Foundation to fight fear and ignorance that drive the never-ending efforts to annihilate mountain lions.
